Dr. Bhabendra Nath Saikia Memorial Award, instituted in the memory of the outstanding writer, academician and film director is given annually on his birth anniversary by the Saikia Children Welfare Trust, Guwahati. The award carries Rs. 25,000/- in cash, a citation, a memento, a sarai, a seleng sador, a flower bouquet and a collection of books.

2022		Nilotpal Bora An Indian singer, composer, and music producer known for his work in the Assamese music industry and Hindi Web Series.
2021		Sarmistha Pritam Baruah A young writer, who has been diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a rare degenerative crippling neuromuscular disease since her childhood.
2020		Boloram Das A graduate from the National School of Drama, who earned acclaim for the drama film Beautiful Lives, has been chosen for the award for his contribution to the field of acting. Das, born at Uzanbazar,Guwahati acted in films like Badlapur Boys, Haider, Gabbar is Back, A Suitable Boy and others.
2019		Monika Das A promising poetess. Despite her physical disability, Monika has carved a niche for herself in the world of poetry.
2018		Anindita Paul An Indian singer who sings predominantly in Assamese, Bengali and Hindi languages
