Dr. Bhabendra Nath Saikia Memorial Award, instituted in the memory of the outstanding writer, academician and film director is given annually on his birth anniversary by the Saikia Children Welfare Trust, Guwahati. The award carries Rs. 25,000/- in cash, a citation, a memento, a sarai, a seleng sador, a flower bouquet and a collection of books.
